FULL ITINERARY

Day 1: Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport – Transfer to Arusha

Upon arrival, a safari representative will assist you with formalities and transfer you to your hotel in Arusha. The short drive introduces local settlements and landscapes. Relax at the hotel or take a light activity to adjust after your journey. In the evening, review your itinerary and prepare for the adventure ahead.

Day 2: Fly to Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, transfer to Arusha Airport for your flight to Serengeti National Park. On arrival, your driver-guide will escort you to your lodge, a tranquil retreat within the vast wilderness. Enjoy an afternoon game drive across the iconic plains, home to herds of grazers, predators, and diverse birdlife. Return to the lodge for dinner and an evening immersed in the sounds of the wild.

Day 3: Full Day in the Serengeti

Begin early to take advantage of morning wildlife activity. Explore plains, acacia-studded ridges, and river corridors. Depending on the season, witness the spectacular wildebeest migration, with predators in pursuit. Other possible wildlife sightings include elephants, buffalo, giraffes, jackals, and antelopes, along with over 500 bird species.
After lunch at the lodge, continue with an afternoon game drive in contrasting habitats. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater Exploration

After breakfast, depart for Ngorongoro with a packed lunch. Descend into the crater, a vast unbroken volcanic caldera, to explore its enclosed ecosystem. Resident species include wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, Grant’s and Thomson’s gazelle, lions, cheetahs, hyenas, and the critically endangered black rhinoceros. Birdlife is extensive, with over 500 species.

Your guide will provide expert insights into wildlife behaviors and ecological interactions. Ascend the crater rim in the evening and continue to your lodge in Karatu for dinner and reflection on the day’s encounters.

DAY 5: Maasai Cultural Visit – Return to Arusha & Departure

After breakfast, visit a nearby Maasai boma to observe traditional life, including livestock tending and homestead routines. Interactions are respectful and provide insight into Maasai cultural practices, attire, and community life.

Continue driving back to Arusha, with opportunities to stop at local markets or villages along the way. Enjoy a packed lunch en route, then arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport for your onward flight.
