FULL ITINERARY
Day 1: Arrival – Kilimanjaro to Moshi
Welcome to Tanzania! Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you’ll be greeted by our professional team and transferred to your hotel in Moshi. Meet your mountain guide for a detailed pre-climb briefing and equipment check before your Kilimanjaro adventure begins. Dinner and overnight at the lodge (BB).
Day 2: Moshi to Marangu Gate to Mandara Hut
After breakfast, drive to Marangu Gate (1,860m) for registration and introductions to your climbing crew. Trek through lush rainforest filled with exotic birds, monkeys, and diverse flora. Ascend gradually to Mandara Hut (2,720m) where you will have dinner and overnight in cozy mountain huts.

Day 3: Mandara Hut to Horombo Hut
Leave the rainforest behind and enter the heath and moorland zone. The trail winds through giant lobelias, heathers, and stunning views of Kilimanjaro’s slopes. Arrive at Horombo Hut (3,720m), your base for acclimatization, and enjoy a relaxed afternoon to rest and prepare for higher altitudes.

Day 4: Acclimatization at Horombo Hut
Spend a day acclimatizing to the altitude. Optional hike to Zebra Rocks (4,050m) allows your body to adjust while rewarding you with panoramic views. Return to Horombo Hut for dinner and overnight, ready for the summit push.

Day 5: Horombo Hut to Kibo Hut
Begin your ascent into the alpine desert zone as the landscape becomes increasingly stark and dramatic. Cross rocky terrain, passing the vast open plains of the saddle between Kibo and Mawenzi peaks. Reach Kibo Hut (4,700m), where you will rest and prepare for the summit attempt.
Trek: 5–6 hours | Overnight at Kibo Hut
Day 6: Summit Day – Uhuru Peak (5,895m) and Descent to Marangu Gate
Start your summit climb around midnight. Ascend slowly through volcanic scree under a starry sky until reaching Stella Point (5,756m) at sunrise. Continue along the crater rim to Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa! After celebrating your achievement, descend via Horombo Hut to Marangu Gate (1,860m). Receive your summit certificate and transfer back to Moshi for a shower, refreshments, and farewell.
